Each year the Xavier Committee chooses a local beneficiary to lend its support to. The dinner has been successful in raising over $4.5 million for charity over its lifetime. This year marks the 65th anniversary of the Dinner, making it one of the most respected and longest running events of its kind in Australia. Each year the dinner is attended by around 350 of Brisbane’s leading businessmen.

Our impact

Case Studies

EMMANUEL CITY MISSION, 2024

$180,000

PLAYGROUND

We are thrilled to share the newly opened Xavier Playground—a beautiful and welcoming space at Emmanuel City Mission. With an incredible $180,000 raised, Xavier Dinner was able to help give back to the community. The new modern playground helps alleviate the rising pressures on families and gives hope of visitors reconnecting with their children.

BRAILLE HOUSE, 2023

$103,000

BRAILLE PRINTER

$103,000 went towards the purchase of a large UV Braille Printer, valued at $40k, as well as several refreshable braille display units, totalling $60k. In addition, the funds were used to produce hundreds of new braille reading books printed with the machine purchased.

A history of support

To date, the Xavier Charity Dinner has raised over $4.4 million. We are proud of our achievements and are grateful for the support of the many sponsors and patrons that have contributed to our success over the years.
